Aw, lookit him. Just cute. I thought this idea was going to go straight to the toilet but he worked out wonderfully. He's about 17" tall, slight difference from the usual monster doll body (digitigrade legs). The fur I used was far too thick and made things kinda hard...Anyway. Face is cast plastic. Beads are random. One is a Wodaabe charm (ooh fancy). Yay. He's articulated.

the fluffiness just consumes me! i bet he's super soft and cuddly, though he might not be the cuddly sort. did you just brush over his fur with red pant? or did it come that way? i love the two tone effect of the red on the white, very striking!

Wow, that's stunning. Must have been a bitch to make, but it paid off in the end. I've been trying to get into the process of making dolls, my friends keep telling me since I have so many original characters, I should make dolls of them instead of creating more new ones XD
I was curious, did you make the articulated body, or did you buy some sort of craft one [like somethign based on a LUTZ doll but much cheaper >_>] and added fur and such?

I made an armature out of wire, just a really simple skeleton for him. The downside to wire is that eventually the wire can break down if it's bent in the same place over and over...boo. I would love to figure out a better way.

I know what you mean, but I still need to formulate the perfect plan to get to korea and kidnap a team of workers to make doll bodies for me[because asian oriented people always make better things than lame americans.....and i want a bunch of korean buddies ;-;] in my basemen---I MEAN hidden secret cave in the woods >_> <_<

Ooooooo.... I like... as always. Really do like this one. The stripe down the back is great. The face and painting on it are great. The claws look a little big to me but that is up for interpritaion. Do like the beads on the sides though. Over all a well done peice... another of yours is faved... thank you for all the insperation you give. Thank you.

I do hope you kept the mold for its face. Maybe you could mass-produce it like with the cat-demon and do custom paint-jobs (although the paint job here is perfect, like a kabuki or noh theater mask), and I could maybe buy one. I agree that it's rather too fluffy (around the face especially), but that fur worked perfectly for the tail.

Oh yeah I have a nice mold for the head! I'm going to try out some thinner fur on the next one it's just too fluffy on the arms and legs.It does look great on the tail though... I'll have them available on my website soon but I'm ready to produce these right now. Email me if you are interested!

Kyuubi means demon fox. You see? ^_^ The main character of a series called Naruto, named Naruto, had a demon fox sealed into him when he was a baby so that the village could be save. the front paws are HUUUUGE. lol! But it works with your surreal style. I love this lil guy! You're right, the body does work with the head, the mound of fluff behind his head looks like his headhair or something (maybe put the head a little higher next time?). Its amazing, all of your characters look like they belong in their own tribe with the beadwork and symbols on the face, it's wonderful.
I can't tell you how cool it is to finally see an anthro doll! Will you be making other animals too?
