For the Millenium, Greenwich thought it'd be a great idea to force every child in their last year of primary school to wear a hideous red tracksuit (sponsored by The Times news paper I'll have you know) release a giant red balloon [with their name attatched to it] from a giant red box and then if someone finds it, they win a prize. The point? I was never sure myself. Mine got to Belgium and was found around a birds neck.Related content

I don't know why, but this put adventure.exe by final fantasy in my head. Great shot though.

LOLOLOLZZERZ poor birdy! This is really cool Jamie, It looks bleached and kind of oldy looking - which is good by the way. Didn't they do that thing ages ago? Or was it a more recent thing? It's good yours got to belgium. If i'd sent one, you know i'd want it to get to somewhere lovely jubbley, and go personally to retrieve it. Like Asia, or India. hmm

And yeas, this was done in 2000 or '99, I just found this print in a scrapbook from primary school (along with a lot of girly "I LUV DANIEL JOHNS" written in there).
They just sent the tag back to the school with a report from the local animal welfare asociation. Made me feel oh so wonderful. I got £10 worth of book tokens and a hamper out of it though. Would've been ace to go and 'personally retrieve it' though...any excuse to get out of the country for a week or so. Was the height of summer too I do believe.
