Basking in what appears to be tranquillity
You close your eyes
And feel all the emotions
Slowly being washed away
Hours, days, weeks, months.
Years.
And then emotions you have long forgotten
Emotions you thought you've gotten rid of
Slowly come back to you
Confusing, painful.
And the silence that you've gotten used to...
Now deafening,
Unbearable.
And you feel the misery, loneliness,
And pain of it all.
