Entry for 's Fire Priestess Contest

Uh, not what I expected for th' outcome, but it's not pretty bad, if I do say so me'self...

The scannerz're makin' it look like that fer some reason; but now that I think of it, dark skin on a priestess like that is a really good concept (I mean look at whats-her-name from El-Hazard ). Makes her look more... Aztecan/Native American, y'know? Wasn't my intention in the beginning, but hey, I was experimentin'. Goodness, it looks like MARIT drew this I did NOT intended to do that, honest! (it sux to be a 'flexible' animator)... I was thinkin' of one of my own characters, Galinda, with that face when I did this, since fire priestesses are generally... spit-roarin' fire

I love doin' long braids with poofy ends like that and I had fun testing out the blender markers on the feathers and wrap. The staff was the hardest to come up with to be honest. I was too focused on makin' it more 'dynamic' than anythin' that I decided to stick with the basics. With that big red ruby on top of there, I think it shows her status as high priestess that can still take on any battle put in front of her (at least, that what I thought when I went over the specs).

Usually I procrastinate on the last minute when it comes to contests... but there's so many competition for *Keysha-chan 's thing, I jus' HAD to jump in there as fast and best as I could don't get me wrong; I like it, I need this competitive edge, anyway
