Snake Bite

Once a dreary night down in ireland it was the middle of winter and was snowing down hard . Down in a little town called cork n the poorest part of town there was a little cottage with a leaky roof it was surrounded by a thick white fog in that particular cottage with a leaky roof there was a family there was a mum dad young boy and two girls one of them was called oakly and this family was called the mutter family just down the worn road there lived another family in this family there was a mum dad young girl and boy called norm this was the Dutton family soon oakly and norm would face more than they ever dreamed

That same night a scream erupted from the middle of town and awoke everyone the the small town was attacked. Nobody was prepared for the surprise attack then al through cork there was a thunderous roar and the people of the small town were alert but still in a daze they weren't ready or in any condition to fight the evasion. Many were killed while others were injured but only a few were uninjured every one was relieved when the battle had ended

The people who were left were still in a daze as they scurried around trying to find the dead and the wounded as they moved quickly and quietly and soon found the dead and the injured amongst the dead was oakly's family and the only survivor of her family was oakly and also norms family and the only survivor of norms family was norm. As the sun rose again on the now blood spilled town. The town then only found out that the almost all the towns inhabitants were gone as the fatal attack had taken there lives along with many others things had changed and now norm and oakly were orphans and would start a journey of courage and revenge.

Along with a few others the town seer had survived, the seer beckoned the two teens over the misty blue eyes that looked wiser than an owls watched them as they slowly walked over to her still shaken from the nights occurrence then the seer said
"listen closely Children and discover something new"and then she started to chant in a mystic voice
'cross through the valley of darkness'
'Slip through heaven'
'watch out for the evil one'
'you are meant to do this together'
'be challenged for there is good'
'trust those you know'
'conquer the evil and return home'
The seer than shuffled away leaving the two confused teens to there own thoughts.

A horn sounded from the distance as they were summoned to the village green every one who was alive and uninjured was there, as the most recent events were discussed oakly had walked up to norm and stuck out her hand
"ma names Oakly Oakly Mutter" "um do ya think I could have yours any time soon"
"Norm Norm Dutton" he said as they shook hand norm was thinking about how firm her grip was and that she had a good hand shake he the scanned oakly from head to toe taking In her appearance she was at the height of a petite five foot two with long black hair with natural red streaks going through it, she wore her hair down, she was well toned with a good amount of muscle she wore a long black night dress as she had fled from her home as the attack had started her skin was pale and looked delicate like porcelain, she had a small nose piercing and also two rings through her upper ear, he could barely see the tattoo on her upper arm but it outlined as a blood thirsty vampire who had just fed on an innocent human being,also he spotted an odd birthmark on her neck It looked like two bites but as he looked at it closer it looked more like a snake bite she looked about the age of seventeen years old and the last thing he noticed was her brilliant deep green eyes that had been dulled and hardened down they were deep and so full of mystery so deep that if you tries you could almost just almost fall into a hypnotized state if you did he then noticed oakly taking quick glances at him.

Oakly had taken a few quick glances at norm he had short spiky hair his body was toned and he had quite the large muscles he had a large dragon tattoo on his shoulder adding with that he had an eyebrow piercing to go with it,he was about at the height of six foot two he looked about one year younger than him,sixteen years,she then took a quick glance at his eyes they were a brownish colour like chocolate they were captivating she also noticed that his eyes were full of kindness and had not been dulled and hardened like hers, and then almost at once she noticed the similar birthmark on his neck it was in the exact same place as hers and was the exact same she then moved her whole body so that her back was facing norm and started to pay attention to what the speaker was talking about they were asking for any one who would be able to fight for the town to get back at who or what had attacked them that was still one major mystery. Oakly had then put her hand up to fight norm saw that and put his own hand up if there destinies were to be intwined like this might as well fight for something thats worth fighting for oakly had then turned around and gave him a small delicate smile that was from her heart.

When they had counted the amount of people willing to fight and give up there lives there were a good fifty women and men as they went to a large space ready to practice and choose weapons if needed, Norm had walked over and had picked up two large broad swords and then had gone to stand next to oakly who had surprisingly had not picked up a weapon saying she didn't need and that she was trained in hand to hand combat. As the walked over to a clearing they started oakly had insisted that norm used his swords saying he would be disadvantaged if he didn't use them he was worried as he was trained in how to use these as a weapon to kill he was worried that he would hurt her but as she stood there his worries melted away as he got into a fighting stance oakly had just stayed still not bothering to move as they started to circle norm had looked into okays intense eyes and thought he saw a flicker of purple run through her eyes as he started to run forward she was still just standing there as he was bringing his sword down she had swiftly moved back and her hands had gone to the blade and stopped it she then twisted the blade out of my hand my hand forgot to let go as the sword was thrown my body was taken with it as it flew landing quite a few yards away oakly had then walked over and as she was helping me up murmured in my ear
"I told you I could fight next time don't go so easy on me norm"we continued like this until two hours before sunset as we walked back we walked in silence

As the sun was setting,the town heard the roar of a magnificent beast a beast with fire for breath it nor had saddle nor rider while its scales glittered like fairy dust and shattered glass it was a dragon long thought extinct it landed a few feet away from oakly it then growled softly in oakly's direction and her whole face lit up with surprise,excitement,happiness and hope
"stargazer"she said "stargazer is that you my pet"she than ran up and clung to her neck the whole town was suprised and anxious
