XD Bataar has the balls to marry a Beifong, but he's afraid of heights.

To be fair, as earthbenders, what's the chance they would be in the air

I know, but, they're earthbenders, so they should be used to HEIGHTS because of mountains and shiz. 😄 I dunno. I was just sayin.

That's a good point. Earthbenders could be very mountainous people.

Su thought of Kuvira like a daughter! She's fighting two of her babies.
I love Su and I feel so sad for her.

Makes you wonder what might have happened had Su taken up Raiko's call to restore order to the Earth Kingdom herself, can't help but wonder if she blames herself at least partially for what Kuvira has become.

Have you seen the latest episode! OMG!
Kuvira is a badass!
And if Su didn't hate herself for Kuvira before,
she will now.

Yep, to paraphrase Sun Tzu "all war is deception" and there and the battle of Zaofu, Kuvira has demonstrated that she understands this principal like few others.
Really glad they showed Kuvira clearly feeling pain over firing the canon, she was getting a little too evil so it was nice to throw in some touches to help humanize her. Still I worry, she may have just killed the last fragment of her humanity. It really is sad to see just how far she has fallen.
I may be the only one saying but screw it, Suyin really should have stepped up after the Earth Queen's death, I mean I still like her but she at the very least could have taken steps to help keep Kuvira grounded if she didn't want to rule herself.
But yeah I saw your piece on episode 11 I imagine this one was pretty hard to pull inspiration from given it only has 3 cells

As long as Kuvira doesn't go bat-shit crazy like Azula,
I am find with her being demonic.
Interesting, I thought it was okay for Suyin to not step up.
She's not even an Earth Kingdom citizen, she's originally part of the Republic City.
But then she started up Zaofu, her new hometown, so I thought it was better she didn't step up.

It's important to keep a couple things in mind about the Earth Kingdom following the Queen's death, namely it was complete chaos. Before her corpse had even cooled there was city wide looting and within a matter of hours Ba Sing Se was nearly burned to the ground. Virtually all matter of law enforcement collapsed and bandits effectively infested the whole country (they were even attacking cities and towns in broad daylight), even LoK can't go too far into details but Bandits' M.O. tends to be Rape, Pillage, Murder so imagine that going on a national scale. Furthermore the chaos devastated the economy and trade leading to both poverty and starvation even worse than when the Earth Queen was alive.
Given the situation Suyin was the best choice to restore order for three reasons (1) she had the strategic and political credentials to pull it off, (2) she was trusted by the world leaders and her status as a Beifong would have given her legitimacy in the Earth Kingdom, and (3) she wouldn't have carried the stigma (among other problems) that Wu would have brought to the table. While she was right that taking control would lead to war, Kuvira was also correct when he pointed out that there was already war and if somebody didn't step up to restore order it would continue for years, decades, even centuries perhaps. Suyin's claims she did not want to become a tyrant are rather hollow because it does not necessarily follow that just because you restore order to a nation gripped by chaos that you become a dictator in the process (though admittedly that is a common occurrence).
While we can all agree Kuvira has gone too far there is no denying that she's made several valid points and in my view Suyin ran from responsibility. What I think is really brilliant about Kuvira as a character is that there are only four things she's done that you can't at least argue were justifiable under the circumstances (1) creating and using weapons of mass destruction, (2) seeking to Annex the United Republic, (3) using slave labor camps, and (4) the ethnic cleansing.
My biggest question is what comes after Kuvira is deposed? Unless some kind of political solution is found removing Kuvira and her supporters from power could just hurl the Earth Kingdom back into chaos and it's essentially back to where it was when Zaheer killed the Earth Queen (think of what happened in Iraq after Saddam Hussein was removed from power).

Even now, I'm still not totally convinced Korrasami is set in stone. The creators said, back when they had finished the writing for Book 4 but had only just finished the release of Book 2, that they would rather leave romance up to the fans to speculate rather than explicitly show it. I see them as besties, and the hand-holding could just as well have been to make sure that they were not supported on their way to the Spirit Realm.

A captain must stay on their ship.
I'm neither a Korrasami or Makorra
shipper so the end was very shocking.

And the spirits were such backstabbers. Korra protected and saved them during Harmonic Convergence, not closing the portals also. Korra just wanted help, not using them as an army. So the spirits can go to the corner and rethink their actions.

At the same time though they did have a point, she still sought to involve spirits and their powers in a human war even if she took a much more diplomatic approach.
