Bramble is always willing to help other toadlets in their quest to the fairy ring. She's a trustworthy wayfarer and is always looking for some kind of adventure. She knows her way around the forest, making her quite an asset to any lost toadlets. She may not know exactly where the fairy ring is located, but she knows the forest like the back of her hand. When it comes to the forest's dangers, she's learned to face them head on and to not run away from danger. The only reason she's truly like this is because of her will to be a Tunnel Toad.

She wants to see the other toadlets succeed, just as she had, so she's very blunt towards them at times. Telling them flat out that if they don't make it before the end of the summer then it's all over. She's also very cautious and stubborn when it comes to working with toadlets. She'll do her best to keep them away from danger, and take the safer route if possible, but at the same time, if they're losing hope-- she'll always be there to show her stubborn side and encourage them to keep moving. If in a desperate situation, she'll sometimes pull unpredictable moves to narrowly avoid disaster. She does this all for them because she can't get over the fact that her brothers never made it to Toad Hollow. If more toads can make it, then she feels she's done something right.

Bramble had awaken in the Big Wet with her two brothers by her side, Cattail and Fox Thorn. They had been left behind during the Great Migration, and now they were at the mercy of the Great Forest. Just trying to survive for a day in the forest was proving to be both challenging and very dangerous. On top of animals and other creatures that tried squishing you at opportunity, life in the forest was terrible. The three siblings found their way into a tunnel of some sort and decided it'd be best to rest there for the night. However, they weren't alone. Out of the darkness came two older toads, addressing the three young ones, asking where they were headed. Of course, after the three siblings replied with having no idea, the two introduced themselves as Tunnel Toads-- and Tunnel Toads lead young toadlets like themselves to Toad Hollow-- a place safe from the danger and threats of the Great Forest. Bramble and her siblings were getting excited about this magical Toad Hollow place, however they were suddenly warned of something by the Tunnel Toads. If they don't make it there by summer's end, then the three of them will become toadstools. Permanently.

They were told of Thunder Trees and how they'll show the path to Toad Hollow-- and how only a select few toads can hear the Thunder Trees themselves. However, neither Bramble nor her brothers had any idea about speaking to trees. It seemed almost ridiculous. Nonetheless, they continued on, looking for the Fairy Ring and Thunder Trees in the most obscure places. They would meet the occasional group of other toadlets and discuss what they were all doing, but Bramble and her brothers never stayed long. Through tunnel to tunnel, group to group, they got information on where the Fairy Ring MIGHT be, and to their shock, they finally found it!

But, they arrived too late ...

The portal was closing up, and the shadows on the earth grew longer. The sun was setting, and the final day of summer was coming to an end! The Fairy Ring was right out in the open, and the siblings could see the light from it clearly! They bounded towards it, seeing nothing that could stop them. Bramble took one last glance back at her brothers as she dove into the portal, making it safely to Toad Hollow. Upon reaching the other side, she glanced back the way she had come in, but her brothers never showed up. She simply thought that maybe they teleport to different areas upon entering. She spent season searching for her brothers in Toad Hollow, but they never turned up. She immediately thought the worst. After spending much time in Toad Hollow, she learned that if you were to ever return to the forest, you didn't have to worry about turning into a toadstool. Gathering her courage, she left and returned to the place she had entered Toad Hollow-- finding two toadstools right by where the portal had been-- her brothers. With an overwhelming feeling of sadness and disbelief, she vowed that she wouldn't let anything like this ever happen again.

She found the nearest Toad Tunnel and chatted with the Tunnel Toad there. She explained that she wanted to become a Tunnel Toad herself. The other was really shocked at this young one's determination. For only being Several seasons old, you'd think she'd want to spend more time in Toad Hollow. No matter-- Bramble had guts for sure. She was taken under the wings of several Tunnel Toads, willing to teach her what they know. Perhaps in due time, she'd become a fine Tunnel Toad in her own way.
