Personality: Izumi is a very sweet and caring mermaid girl who's always thinking about others before herself. She is also very shy especially with new people. When she gets to know people better, she is no longer so shy. However with Kennedy, Izumi is even more shy than normally but luckily with time she has somehow got rid of her shyness and sensitivity. Izumi is also very smart even though she doesn't want to show that so often because she's still shy and doesn't want to make people think she's some sort of special genius. She just wants to be normal. Izumi loves children so she's very good at taking care of them. This little mermaid has a huge, golden heart and she's very friendly and lovely person.

Powers: Izumi has a hedgehog form. When she takes off her necklace, she turns into her hedgehog form and she can walk on land and be on land for a long time. While her friend Umiko starts to feel sick on the land if she spends too much time there, Izumi doesn't at all. She's quite used to living above the surface.

Other information: A long time ago, a shark attacked Izumi and during the attack, shark bit her and her left fin was torn slightly. That's why Izumi can't swim so fast anymore and when she's on the land and walking, she is limping slighty. Also Izumi is very afraid of sharks now.
Izumi also has dyslexia. She doesn't like to read books because of it so she listens really carefully when Kennedy reads them to her. She can read but she doesn't do that very often due her dyslexia.
