This is my first time posting on here so, hopefully, I'm doing things right!
In this artwork, I tried to encompass how I have been feeling as of late. Summer is a difficult time, in my opinion, surprisingly depressive mood swings don't go well with sunny days. The title "What's rotting", references both the feeling of rotting up in your room while summer passes you by and the question of what's causing the rot, why do I feel this way? Why does it feel inevedable ? How come no matter how happy I feel the rot seems to catch up with me.The rot being the doomed self-sabotaging thoughts and the general depressed mind state I seem to be unable to escape.
This might be a bit much but I want to try and stay true to myself, for a change!
And to just quickly touch on the visual aspects of the artwork, the rot is generally inspired by The Last of Us, the clickers (how the fungus is portrayed) and the general feel of the game.
