It's the exact same with my mom. I had three C's last semester and it was punishment enough to see her disappointed in me

God, I hate when teachers do that. Or if they call your mom and tell her. OrΒ your school uses PowerSchool and PowerSchool sends emails. Sometimes when mum's gone she'll call me and say Β "You got a C in one class. Do blah blah blah."

School around here only call students's parents if they got in the counselling and stuff so most students fear the counselling program even though it exist to help students with personal or school problems.

Ah, same goes for me. I just got back the results for 5 out of 9 subjects (I failed two and barely passed the rest) and I'm absolutely terrified to tell my mum. She has very high expectations since I used to be the highest in my old class but now I'm one of the worst and she doesn't believe it
