Description Watercolors on Arches 9” X 12” 140lb CP watercolor paper.

This is another practice on greenery background. I had wanted to make it loose, but this is as loose as I could get I hope it does not look too bad. Somehow the colors look kind of dull here They look better in real life.

As usual, thank you for any constructive advice

How do you like my title?

Thanks for liking my country life series. I like to paint any scene that strikes my interest, regardless of where the place is. This photo was taken in Viet-Nam by a friend of mine.

You cannot read my journal? You're the first one telling me that. Are you using firefox browser or internet explorer?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lynne-Abley-Burton In reply to milbisous [2007-11-21 21:33:23 +0000 UTC]

Internet explorer - it is the colours I find difficult - but if I am the only one dont worry - the writing is small and on those colours it is difficult to read - nevermind - it must be me!!

It isn't you, it's the Internet explorer. For I've heard from various people about the disadvantages with Internet explorer, that's why DA recommends Firefox.

J'aime beaucoup!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

milbisous In reply to Moniki [2007-11-21 21:34:22 +0000 UTC]

Moniki In reply to milbisous [2007-11-22 11:56:15 +0000 UTC]

Jack.

milbisous In reply to La-Puce [2007-11-21 21:28:46 +0000 UTC]

Merci

About green colours, I don't use pure ones, I prefer to make them with all my yellows added to differents blues. This gives a large choice .

Thank you for the tip, As much as possible, I also try to mix my green with different colors to find various shades, but I'm still searching for the right shades of green that I like. Thanks

Nice! I think the problem for your loose background is that the intensity of colours is the same as the front and also you worked it too much....Mais , l'ambiance est tout de même là!.

i can see it now...
the photo is not clear/define, or is it the painting?
in this piece the foliage are more as green colors, then foliage, i think.
beside that its nice colors of the road , the animals , driver and the hay...its a lots of hay. hehe...but light, not haevy as the wood.

Thank uou for your comment on this painting Hanna. At first, I did not like the foliage I did here. But now looking at it, it does not look that bad. Maybe that time, I was tired of trying to make it look like foliage, so I was feeling frustrated a bit. But, as I look at it daily in front me, I kind of get used to it and find that everything's ok How strange our brains work sometimes Thank you for the I appreciate it very much
