This is beautiful! When looking at it from far away, I thought it was a conte crayon drawing. I didn't realize it was a painting until I read your description! I think that makes it all the more appealing, it gives it a sense of an old Renaissance drawing in a much more finalized form. Great work!

this is very strange
i love how the person is looking forward to where he is floating off to
the liquid in the balloon looks like amber, very pretty.
i like the title paired with the seemingly uncontainable air in the balloon. gives it a bursting potential.
and the wheels on it look so old fashioned it gives the impression that this whole thing takes place in the past, which adds another unique layer

this is awesome indeed! I can see the texture of the paint on the canvas. this picture almost jumps out at you. It actually looks like a wood etching. The technicalities of the machine are also quite interesting. what is it run on, steam? hot air? magic?
