Description Ch. 5

“Are you serious?!”

Jack and Miko were looking at Raf as if he had a third eye. Krysta has been on earth since the Ice Age?

“But if you’ve been here that long, why didn’t the bots find you sooner?” Jack looked back to Krysta

“Hm, most likely the mineral deposits and the depth I was buried had interfered with my energy signature. Until the decepticons had begun mining of course.” She explained

“That does seem like the most probable outcome,” Ratchet mused

“Okay enough with the nitty, gritty facts of history and whatever, let’s see some action!”

They had arrived at the training room, placed near the back of the base. Krysta stepped forward, weapon in hand.

She turned to face her new team, “Alright, first I believe a test of strength is in order. Bulkhead would you care to volunteer?”

“I, uh, okay, if… that’s what you want.” Bulkhead complied with her request and stepped forward, activating his own weapons.

“Actually for this exercise, no weapons will be needed,” Miko deflated in disappointment, “The first will be hand to hand, and the first to be knocked out of the marked area loses.”

“Uh… what marked area?”

Krysta looked at the floor and saw that Smokescreen was correct. There was no marked barrier.

“Oh, allow me,” Krysta walked off a ways until she was a few feet from the entrance. Her eyes glowed white and she tapped the floor with her weapon. A glowing white circle appeared. She lazily flicked a finger and the circle darted to her right, leaving a glowing white line behind it. She repeated her action at least three times until there was a glowing white square which Bulkhead and she were inside of. The glow left her eyes, but it still remained on the square.

“Now, we know that if we manage to get thrown out of this area, or land somewhere outside of it, it will turn red. Signaling that one of us has lost.” She gripped her weapon and it vanished in a white light, she took a defensive stance, “Are you ready Bulkhead? Because I can assure you that I will not hold back, and I expect you to do the same.”

“Alright then, bring it,”

The two began to circle each other, attention solely based on their opponent. The audience was watching with growing anticipation, Miko was practically bouncing in her spot, her phone in hand and camera active.

Bulkhead was the one to make the first move. He charged forward, fist pulled back and ready to strike. Krysta stood her ground and stayed put, as he was about to deliver the blow her own hand shot forward and a metal fist met an organic palm. A powerful after shock came as result, vibrating the floors around them. Their human companions even stumbled from the sheer force. In half a second Bulkhead began to assault her left and right. Bulkhead was adding more force with each hit, but Krysta did not move from her place. Each time a punch was coming, she either dodged it or held up an arm or hand to stop it. It continued this way for several minutes until she caught him off guard by catching one hand in her own and pulling him towards her. She reared her leg up and her knee came in contact with his stomach, resulting in an unsettling metallic bang that made the others cringe. He grunted from the impact and kneeled. Taking the advantage Krysta, while stilling having a firm grip on his fist, flipped over behind him and using every ounce of strength she could muster, pulled him over her shoulder and threw him! He sailed through the air and landed against a wall, leaving a good sized dent in it as well. The square turned red.

Bulkhead sat with his helm on the floor and pedes facing the ceiling. He groaned and slowly began to open his optics, the world was spinning and everyone and everything had a double, or rather a triple. A white figure entered his vision and he tried to regain his focus, until he felt a delicate, organic hand caress the side of his head. A finger gently tap the side of his processor and his vision was brought back to normal. Krysta was looking down at him with a smile, though viewing her upside down sort of obstructed that image.

“Are you alright? I suppose I forgot my true strength until it was too late. You’re not hurt are you?” Krysta rubbed gentle circles on the side of his head.

It took every ounce of his strength to suppress a shudder.

“Uh, yeah ha, don’t worry about me. Takes a lot more than a collision with a wall to knock me out cold.” He prayed to Primus that she couldn’t feel the warmth of his overheated system.

“Well as long as you’re okay, that’s all that matter to me.” She took her hand away, but offered it to help him up, he accepted.

Without much effort, she lifted him up to his feet. Bulkhead was still struggling to calm his frantic spark beat, his system still overheating, but he was thanking Primus that his cooling fans weren’t loud enough to be heard… yet.

“Alright, Arcee, I’m aware that you’re the most agile on the team, so you can help me test my own agility.” Krysta spoke as Bulkhead rejoined the group.

“Alright then, let’s see what you got."
