Description
The second model of the EENFV (Eastern Europe-Nordic Fighting Vehicle) programme, the PCzP Mk. II (Polski Czołg Podstawowy) is a development of the TR Mk.I Balaur. Serving with the company as well as various nations, known as the PCzP T-75 “Kawaler”, TstPsv.75 “Näkki” or Tr-75 Mk. II “Dracul” in its native service, and as the Chevalier Mk.I within company service. It features improved protection and mobility, as well as new systems. Designed more like a traditional MBT, rather than the Champion III’s hybrid concept between a main battle tank and assault gun.
The chassis features the company’s traditional, trademark double hull design, much like a submarine’s, with a thinner inner hull and the thickest armour forming part of the outer hull.
The inner hull features a series of blowout panels and ducts to transfer the energy of an ammunition detonation to the space between hulls and to a second tier of blowout panels on the outer hull top sides. Bore-evacuator technology along the ducts aids in clearing lingering gases, helping prevent them from filling the fighting or driver’s compartment.

The Smart fuse is designed to detonate the round a certain distance from the target, with the blast of the bursting charge projecting the fragments ahead of it in a cone pattern, the round acting much like a flamethrower.
5.5” Mk. IIIA Gun Launched Missile, Universal (GLM-U): 80 kg two-piece projectile, designed to mate the warhead and propulsion unit upon loading.
The Propulsion unit consists of a booster rocket motor designed to accelerate the missile to mach 5. Once the combustion chamber of the motor is clear, sections of the forward portion collapse inwards to form a series of air intakes, turning the motor into an air-breathing ramjet. Once ignited the missile accelerates to mach 8 for a 10 second duration before the propulsion unit detaches, leaving the warhead to glide the rest of the way to the target. The missile maintains manoeuvrability through its stages, with preset self-destruction once it has decelerated past mach 7 for armoured targets and mach 5 for airborne targets (Taking into account the minimum speed needed to defeat the reaction time of respective active protection systems.)
The warhead itself is of triple charge design. The primary charge is of self-forging projectile type, consisting of 2.5kg of HDP-ONC explosive payload and a Clarentite-Tantalum lens, designed to set off active protection systems or ERA ahead of the warhead, as well as helping crater the surface of the target’s armour.
Surrounding the primary charge’s explosive payload are five segmented rings, half inch thick, providing a fragmentation cone for anti-personnel and anti-air capability. Clarentite-Titanium composition.
The secondary charge is a traditional shaped charge, consisting of 3 kg of HDP-ONC explosive payload and a set of molybdenum liners for top-down, bottom-up and side-side attack, along with a main liner facing forwards to follow the primary charge’s effects.
The tertiary charge is of traditional shaped charge design, 5.5kg of HDP-ONC explosive payload and a Copper-Durendite liner. The explosive payload is further augmented by 1.5kg of nanothermite-magnesium thermobaric mix.
The guidance package consists of a LIDAR-RADAR-ER seeker with a flexible fuse for the missile’s various uses.
