well,cave hyaena was the Top predator of pleistocene grasslands of europe,it hunted large amount if horses,reindeers etc. it was more hunter than scavenger
Its even speculated that Cave hyaenas prevented humans from crossing the beringia for some time

It's only a title. I know that a cave hyena was a good predator, just like a modern spotted hyena.
