Description
At Kiyomizudera in particular, we noticed a lot of young girls in kimono. We asked the guide if it was a special time or some sort of event. What we found out was, apparently Kyoto offers special discounts and incentives to activities and places if they show up wearing kimono. It promotes the more traditional aspects of Japan, and, the tourists love it (as several people from our group asked to take pictures with various girls).

Once again, this was a 'me being sneaky taking pictures of Japanese people simply being themselves' shot.
