Double Mint.Yes, this photo -is- sort of inspired by the doublemint gum commercials from the 80's but I was attempting to get a more modern-retro feeling -- institutional yet glowing in a way.
I overexposed it on purpose using the same lighting style as the moment of revelations photo [see my gallery for that photo if you're curious]. One of the real benefits of overexposure in natural light is that it creates an etheral glow while masking lines and imperfections on the skin. I think it's a good style for fashion photography.

i was just thinking of how immaculate she looks and how suitable this pic is in a fashion mag when i read your description. your understanding of photography is so wide (me runs away to hide from shame) and your capture are just superb.

hm. It's a great idea. The reflection is used very well. However, I don't like the overexposure much. well, may be... I don't know. The contrast is just too great, I think. The white is so bright, it's almost uncomfortable.
:smiles: I'm tring to find flaws in your pictures, just for the sake of it. Because i like when people do that, it's still an amazing picture, I still love you. You know me.

Indeed a beautiful shot!. The hair especially pops out here, and the skin has a wonderful glow, like you described. My only concern is the hair tie in her hand... It pulls my eye towards it a bit too much, and it also helps accentuate the dark[er] areas of her skin, making it look a little dirty in that section, something I wouldn't have noticed if that wasn't there. It's a gorgeous piece.

Well you've definately achieved the modern-retro feeling. I'd commend on the doublemint commercials but I've never seen them.

This is great! I've never seen any commercials like that either but I think that this would do as nicely as anything Wrigley could come up with if the object had been to sell gum.
I have never gotten any kind of over-exposure technique to work. If I had tried to do something similar to this it would have looked just terrible. Don't know how you do it. I'm quite impressed. (But I'm trying not to show it because of professional jealously).
