Back in January I asked you guys if you'd help me fill in a meme with six characters that I remind you of
Inspired by Anonymous-anonX3

Now it took me a while to get started actually drawing and here 9 months later I felt like a lot has happened so my original six character plan turned into a 18 character plan meaning I'll share three versions of this meme: the original January 2021 pick, a new pick from September 2021 and then for fun a comparison where I myself have tried choosing six characters I feel hits very close to home for me

The memes will be shared one per day over the next few days and then the single pieces will arrive sometime after that ^V^

So yeah ... I forgot to submit this one yesterday
Today we have the odd one out in that I tried myself to find characters that I feel is pretty close to my own personality (not just characters I adore then it'll be a veeeeeeeery predictable list x'D)
This was mostly to compare with what you guys see versus what I see still hopefully it is interesting enough for you

Todd: First up we have Todd Chavez from Bojack Horseman
At first glance Todd isn't that special. He is kind, supportive but also coming off as a bit immature and not quick to make a descision having lived at Bojack's house for five years when he was told he could stay as long as he liked. Yet behind the surface Todd is more than a couchsurfer: he has tons of creative and outthere projects going on at all times, many cases actually seeing lots of unexpected success with what he is doing. Also he is a proud asexual character
I feel like Todd and I share the same kind of taurus state of mind with that we value comfort and a slow pace tempo of life and give some of our friends many, many chances while tending to forgetting others. Also anybody knowing me knows I am weak for new, odd art projects that more often than not doesn't end up too bad x'D Bonus points for Todd having an aesthetic I'd gladly steal for myself: Comfy hoodie, beanie, curly hair and stubble? Yes please x'D

Lucy: Next up we have Lucy Pevensie from the Chronicles of Narnia
Lucy as the youngest of the Pevensie children is the one closest to the childish pureness and imaginative mind. She is the first to find Narnia of her siblings and stay loyal to the land and Aslan until the end. She is known to be cheerful and happy and never taking a man, giving me the feeling that she is likely asexual and/or aromantic.
I'd gladly admit I am a child inside and I'd hope to stay true to this side of myself as Lucy does. Online I have a feeling I can seem as cheerful and upbeat and sometimes as naive as Lucy in the first book, and one cannot deny the asexual undertones x'D

Barley: Up next we have Barley Lightfoot from Onward
Well, I do not think I need to explain myself from the previous badge since he was also featured there x'D
I just cannot deny how we clicked from the get go: in short I see myself in Barley's enthuiasm for his special interests, untidyness and uninterest for almost everything else, his style but more than anything his relationship to his brother. Such a good boy :'D

Jack: First in the second row we have Jack Kline from Supernatural
Jack is litterally a 4-5 year old child in the body of a 20 something year old. Being half angel he was able to make himself 'grow up' fast yet only physically so his mental state is still that of a child. He is honest, curious, a bit confused at times and very, very loyal seeking the approval of his fathers at every turn he can. He has a very black and white world view and tend to forget to think about his actions making it so he risk hurting the people closest to him in the name of making things better or if he is lashing out.
To me Jack is autistic - he just has the energy. He has trouble interacting with people and not as developed mentally as his peers which can be commonly found in autistic people. Also there's one scene he is litterally hitting himself breaking down/punishing himself when realising he is hurting people. That is something I too often do - the hitting myself or wanting to hurt myself when I am upset. His naive ways and honest ways are way too relatable to me, I couldn't not add him here :'D

Will: Second to last we have Will Solace from the Riordanverse (first mentioned in the Heroes of Olympus books)
Will is described as having the energy of a lazy cat (wonder why one of my favourite personality tropes comes from x'D?). He isn't a fighter as most of the other campers but a medic, using his skills for healing to help and care for others. He is responsible and polite and can be overly cautious at times. Also his demigod power is one of casting light on others (litterally) thereby gifting others a sense of comfort and strength instead of himself.
I knew I wanted to see if I could find a Riordanverse character to add in here yet most felt way too powerful, too sassy or too reckless to be me. I am way too much of a creature of habbit and comfort to be a Percy of a Leo, and I do not think I'd be as calm as Magnus living on the streets. So in the end I went with Will which I actually did after reading a fanfic that pictured Will as a sort of little gentlemen that because of his upbrining didn't feel comfortable acting on his feelings and ending up surpressing them not feeling he was good enough to make a move. I find that very relatable me myself being a big overthinker and having a strong inner self hating voice :'D

Wirt: Speaking of characters that worry a lot and lack self worth/confidence, we end with Wirt from Over the Garden Wall
Wirt is very timid - he is cautious and suspicious of basically everything. While he wants to be a leader and help his brother to safety, leading with logic and rationality he lack self worth and a believe in himself that makes him a great leader. He sees the world as way more against him that it is and even though people around him actually seem to like him he is afraid of being the odd one out and not good enough for his friend and family.
Yeah Wirt and I have issues with impostor syndrome I think :'D Wirt doesn't believe he is good enough for his crush or his friends not really fitting in with them. I too feel like I am not really good enough or 'right enough' to be what I am: not autistic enough, not good enough a person, not good enough a nonbinary/trans person ... you name it - and like Wirt I fear it won't matter how many say it to be (like Beatrice tries to Wirt in one episode) that my life isn't bad and that I am good enough: I need to realise it myself instead of moving around in my own dark forest suspicious of the world around me and what they might think of me
