Hello all! I finally finished this picture I've been working on for a while.

This was a fun and uplifting project to work on. What started out as an attempt to redraw an old group photo doodle in a different time of my life, turned into a more 'finished' piece of work that I'm very happy with. Pictured are some of the many story children I've had for some time. The rest are my Husband's characters and of course, ourselves! I started this before I got married and have slowly worked on it up until now. In that time it has collected a lot of meaning for me.

Characters are always changing, and my life has changed. There was a time when I was struggling to be creative (and at times I still am) due to some personal things a few years back. I lost a creative friend and Aaron and I battled depression and anxiety. During that time, Baz had to start from scratch and a lot of the others I realized didn't really have much depth. Abba Father has healed us of depression and anxiety over time, and slowly but surely my characters have come back to life. Putting this together has shown me a little bit more of the personalities of my babies, and also my husband's. Aaron has been a fantastic creative mind and outside perspective. He's brought Malcolm to life, helped me figure out Baz's needs and fleshed out characters like Milo, 'Pet, Mr. Clemmer, and a lot of new characters who I will introduce in the future.

There are things I still miss from before that difficult time, but I know that forward is better than backwards. I couldn't have coped or revived my stories without my husband and the wisdom, love, and patience that God has blessed him with. I'm so glad to have him as life partner and raise our "children" together. I'm excited to share the stories we're making in the near future. : )
