I love your gallery and your self portraits are very expressive.I struggle sometimes for a goodΒ s.p. as the space in my room is very limited . I wonder what is your background trick, i use some sheets of dark colors but they fold badly and i have to constantly take care of that. Keep up the good work

It is amazing what effect seemingly a small change like tying up your hair can do.
Following that thought of quiet strength and confidence, the moment I saw this picture I thought of a painting of some rustic surroundings in the old times with such a face and that expression as a centerpiece. Back in the day, the life was hard and the experience of that ordeal showed on the people and their faces. Despite of the hardships, still they carried on with the inner strength they had, perhaps as perceived through an expression like you have here.

Many pictures do look nice, but just do not trigger any further train of thought in me. Often this is because the model and particularly her facial expression does not convey any feeling or emotion to catch up with. That in mind it is very refreshing and enjoyable to come across with pictures like yours here. So, I'm glad that you do what you do.

I completely agree - I try really hard to convey emotions for that exact reason. I'm actually thinking of starting a project where I pick out a random emotion and use it as a base to build a picture from, just to get more practice in it. I really appreciate it, thanks!
