A redesign of Queen Aleena from the Sonic Underground cartoon! I dislike the whole 'make female hedgehogs have hair rather than quills' trend, simply because quills look so cool and have a lot of styling potential.... buuuut, I wanted to keep Aleena's hair-ishness, so I made her a hedgehog hybrid. She's half stoat, so going with that I tried to make her less of a recolour: I gave her sticking out ears and a longer tail. That's a chaos emerald she's holding btw.

As a side note, I'm somewhat considering doing a rework of Sonic Underground in comic format. Not a continuous thing, with chapter after chapter, but a collection of comic pages, all set during key moments (eg Sonic meeting Manic and Sonia). If I did do it though, it'd be heavily altered, with extra (cannon) characters and weird fashions styles (because why not?) Maybe it'd be sort of faux medieval? but with alternate-universe style advanced technology and stuff. Characters in completely different story roles - yet obviously the same personality.
