Description
This is a gift for a good friend of mine *LordCheetah its her character, Discovery.I googled 'running cheetah' to reference anatomy of the pose I had in mind.

in particular sadness and determination stand out the most which i think is great.
The use of References was a really good idea, the anatomy is really accurate and you can tell you spent more time on the back legs as they look perfect. You have used colour very well and it flows into the background. Shading and highlights are excellent and I can't fault them at all.
What I think has been done well:

*Shading+highlights
*Anatomy
Okay now the tricky part.....
Ideas/Improvements:
*Since i thought the emoticons included determination, maybe the claws could be showing a little.

Very nice action drawing. I can really imagine her running off. I like the dark atmosphere as well.
I know it's already very wide, but I think it might look better if more width was added to the left. As it is now, Discovery's nose is as close to the border as her tail is, and the picture is centered on her -butt-. With long animal drawing, I find it looks better with more empty space around the head, to lead the viewer to give more attention to the subject's face (instead of the flanks).
Also, if this is the middle of the wilderness without any nearby cities, there would be more stars in the sky. Although I admit if the sky was all cluttered up with a realistic amount of stars, the art might suffer.
Overall I really like this picture. It's very fluid and the anatomy (including fur patterns) is lovely.

Lovely, I especially like the mane.
Though sadly the pic loses it`s movement since the pose is from the middle of the movement, so it looks static and statue-like.

I have a tip for your background. when you use the grass brush in photoshop. make the brush larger as you come towards the bottom of the picture, this makes the grass in front look closer.
