I hesitated about mentioning it...I didn't mean to say that you're using her style; she's just higher profile right now. You both use similar postures, that's all. Didn't mean to offend. Honestly I think you have more breadth; her stuff has lost its magic and it doesn't seem like she's spending as much time on her pieces now that she's part of the commercial machine.

No problem. I've just been getting that comment for 4 or 5 years, mostly just because they are fairies and many non-artists can't tell the difference between artists. But no so much any more thankfully. I agree these with no background and just floating are a bit similar.

love it! someone said the legs were too short; that's because it's a little known fact, but fairies legs *actually* are shorter because the wings are what gets them around, so they don't need to be so long limbed.
