I used to do black and white line art exclusively. I've only been working with color for a couple years now, on and off. Anyway, now I sketch just to loosen up for my paintings. I'm a huge fan of Peter Chung, so Aeon Flux is one character I always revert to if I want to do a quick sketch. You know, girl with a gun...can't go wrong. This was done over a very detached 25-minute period.
