Description “Yes, ‘tis true. I shall maybe never see you again... my princess.” Picard was just as horrified with his words as she was, but he hid it firmly.
“Oh, but if you only,”
“No, milady, I’m sorry, verily, but that is how it shall be.” Picard’s firm mouth trembled but he caught it and looked Kenya in the eyes.
“No...” Kenya softly drifted off tearing her eyes from his she fell in to Greg’s arms as she turned to run.
“Kenya, Wind Guardian of us, you must be strong for everyone. I shall miss you too.” Greg looked in her eyes and picked her bag up off the ground.
“But Gregory, no, I don’t want to go... I need you, and Picard, and Kili, and justly Even, also.” Kenya had tears rolling down her soft skin hastily. Greg set her up straight and handed her the bag.
“I love you, my only sister.” Greg’s eyes shone with the grief that was to come.
“No...” Kenya was close to speechless.
“Miss Kenya, Guard of the Wind... I shall miss you also, with everything in my little boy heart.” Jaten was clinging to her, Kenya knelt next to him.
“Oh my precious, Jaten, I shall always love you and miss you when I am away. Take this, these will symbolize me from now on...” Kenya pulled a hawk feather out of nowhere and even surprised herself when she placed it in his palm. Jaten had one tear roll down his cheek when she got up from kneeling.
“Wind Guardian I shall bless Slivy for you.” Even was standing, arm around Kili, who was staring at the mirror.
“Oh Even, I can’t leave you or the stables.” she ran over to him and threw her arms around his neck, dropping her sack, standing on her tiptoes then felt herself rise to his height.
“Milady, you shall always be welcome here in the stables. We will watch for the feathers of our hawk.” if Even was slightly surprised when Kenya became as tall as he, he hid it well.
“Good-bye.” Kenya whispered for the first time. She stepped back and then floated to the ground.
