Hawkkit was born as fierce and tense as he appears. He grew up fatherless, born to his mother Speckledfur. He had three litermates, Turtlekit, foxkit, and molekit, all three lost their lives in a badger attack on the camp. He and his kithood playmate, Applekit were the only living kits after the attack. Eventually Hawkkit became an apprentice to Hollowheart, a thick furred, brown tom with blue eyes. As an apprentice, Hawkpaw trained fiercely and tried hard to do his best. His mentor Hollowheart treated him oddly and was constantly concerned with Hawkpaw's well being and often fussed over when Hawkpaw got injured. While this annoyed Hawkpaw, Hollowheart was a distant cat, who had a bright hatred and anger towards everything, so one would understand why Hawkpaw felt curious and delighted to feel favorited by "the fierce" Hollowheart. Eventually, Hawkkit shifted his affection to Applepaw and they planned on becoming mates. An attack from the rogues were what took the lives of not only Applepaw but a few other warriors. This made Hawkpaw bitter, and he trained hard. Finally, Hawkpaw saw some oddity in Hollowheart's fascination with him and set out to find out why. Finally after hard training, Hawkpaw became Hawkwhisker. It was the day of his warrior ceremony he found out that HollowHeart was his father. Angry at both his parents for lying to him his whole life he made it his ambition to become the most feared warrior of Lake. A rogue, Robin, also the daughter of the cat that killed Applepaw came into Shadowclan seeking refuge. She wanted to become a warrior. She was welcomed in, and Hawkwhisker was furious. He hated her and blamed her for the death of Applefur. Though everyone feared HawkWhisker, Robin did not and tried to speak with him every chance she got. It wasn't until a battle between Windclan and Shadowclan that HawkWhisker was compelled to save Robin's life. It hit him then that he loved Robin, and after the battle, he confessed his love for her. The two eventually had four kits, Applekit, in which he named after Applepaw, Fernpaw, Mosspaw, and Sagepaw.
