What captured my attention about the sunset and use of colour, was that as a flashback, it reminded me of a poem that I wrote a few years ago:
Dying Light of a Desert Sunyou always do it
tearing from my eyes
precious moisture
that's reserved
for more important matters
than your petty lies
or deceptions
that way you hide
behind arrogant sneers
when you don't care
about me
or the notes I earn
taken from secret places
when I choose to hide
things that mean
something to me
invasion of privacy
it's called
written by laws
you really don't care for
should make me angry
I know
but somehow - somehow
I feel pity for you
that something
in your life
has made you the way you are
but pity you will find
does not make me
a doormat anymore
so opening a door
hurried suitcase packed
old walking boots
on my feet
dying light of a desert sun
beckons to me with whispers
of a new life to breathe
I imagined my character seeing such a sky, as what you have created
