Description I know it's jumping on the bandwagon, but Casablanca's one of my favourite films, and I scribbled this down, so I could work it into a larger project, I think I looked at way too much Al Hirschfeld, but it was still fun to do, Bogart's features are great fun...

I also likw how artificial that whole scene is, especially that close up, Humphrey Bogart was 5'8" tall, while Ingrid Bergman was a mammoth 5'10", so Bogart had to stand on a platform for that close up...

I love the caricature nature of it.
It's quite funny if you watch Gaslight, you can see Bergman's male counter-part tripping over the platform he's supposed to stand on to equal her height in the scene.

Umm I think it's the train scene... It's either when he's running by the train or when she gets off and he goes to embrace her. You'll have to check imdb though because it's been a long time since I watched that film.

Yeah. Oh and did you hear that there may be a Gaslight remake it the works... if you ask me that's rather pointless.

A Remake?! Why? the 1944 versions already a remake, it was originally a British film made in 1940. The American distributors tried to buy up all the copies of the 1940 version so they could destroy them. And I'm pretty sure I've seen a theatre production of it advertised. I just hope that if they do remake it then I hope they don't try to place it in a modern setting.

Yeah it was on imdb... I think a remake of the 1944 remake would be an atrocious overkill.
