Description
I'm left-wing and anti-fascist, and, since it's a delicate topic to talk about, I try to use the term properly. If there's one thing that makes me angry is the banalization of fascism by postmodern "leftists":
"Against mass immigration?" FASCIST!!
"Religious?" FASCIST!!!
"Against Catalan separatism?" FASCIST!!!
"Watch bullfights?" FASCIST!!!
"Voted for [insert random Right-wing populist movement here]?" FASCIST!!!
"Against the EU?" FASCIST!!!
...
I don't know if they are fascists or not, but I know for sure you are an IMBECILE.
Fascism is dangerous. It's not a joke. It's not a mere crutch you can use when you don't know how to keep up a debate. I remind you that banalizing fascism was precisely Chamberlain and Lebrun's mistake, believing Hitler "wasn't so terrible after all" (and Hitler wasn't technically a fascist, Nazism was a bit different, but you get me.) The first thing to be a real anti-fascist is KNOWING WHAT FASCISM IS and TAKING IT SERIOUSLY.
Read the thread below. All of it:
