This is beautiful. The color scheme works really well together and the textures look fabulous. I think you've done a wonderful job here.

I never really did before, but after reading for research, I found that the majority do. I guess I had thought of the more contemporary icon, but the sea goat is the real one. So ok, works for me.

Thank you very much. I appreciate that.

Thank you very much, Skye-Luna!!!

Some hints? What *impurfektion told me was to put the texture layer on, and then in your layers table on the right, under where it shows the transparency, there is the word normal with a little arrow next to it? Click the arrow and find "soft light" and chose that for the texture layer. See what happens.... and holler if it didn't work!

I'm at a stand still right now, I'm not having any ideas flowing. I'm getting frustrated, cause I can picture goodart in my head, but I cant create it.

OK?!?!? I Know what you mean!! I have at least five different contests I want to do something for, and I can picture a basic idea, but I'll be darned if I can find the right pieces to make it happen...

I'm really trying to find a tutorial for creating a shadow, but everything I've found is WAY too complicated. I'm getting pissed!

sometimes just the 3D effects works...I haven't really tried to figure out the shadows yet...I've gotten lucky in that the image seems to fit ok...or at least, no one's picked it apart to tell me the shadow was off. Don't get frustrated, S-L. Out of curiousity, have you gone back to skem9 to the tutorials there?? Michelle had some good ones...?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Skye-Luna In reply to meljoy68 [2008-06-08 18:14:44 +0000 UTC]

Actually... I didnt know they had any!!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

meljoy68 In reply to Skye-Luna [2008-06-08 19:19:29 +0000 UTC]

What?!? Skye-Luna! Are you telling me you didn't know skem9 had tutorials? Or that you didn't know they had any on shadows? Cuz the second one I can understand, but the first one, you know better!

I'm not positive there are tuts on shadows, but with all the other ones, you never know...and you could always ask Michelle...she's on here, too. Besides being at skem9...although, I haven't heard anything from her in a while.

CFosgate sent me a couple links, but I didnt really get it, cause I dont know how to use the features. I need a step by step for a person new to Photoshop. All the tuts are for people experienced w/ it. As for the Skem tuts, I didnt know they had any for programs.. I thought they were fir coding and stuff

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

meljoy68 In reply to Skye-Luna [2008-06-09 00:23:05 +0000 UTC]

Nope!!! There are lots of tuts in there for things other than codes!! Heck, there's even recipes. I even put a tut in there, for Paint Shop Pro, to make extended Contact Tables. Michelle, ~arnieismybaby , she has lots posted in skem9 for PSP. And I know what you mean about finding tuts but they're for people who've been using the program for a while. None for beginners!!

I posted a recipe in a bulletin once, maybe I should've put it in that section!
