Love it. No matter how many times the cat drops it on the floor it's going to be okay and yoy don't need to clean the mess.

I had a real cactus. Β My brother overwatered it and it rotted.

I don't think so - the pot broke almost immediatly after the thing was finished, and I never found one, that looked so nice. Also while it was a cool idea for a pin-cushion, it was a bit impractical... Β

Panartias In reply to Meiheals [2017-05-13 19:20:49 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, I was sad when it broke...
...but I probably won't make a new one. There are other projects, I have in mind, that come first!

I did a lot of crochet-projects when I was young. But the fabric you produce isn't as flexible as knitted ones...
...and yes, drawing is easy - that's what I love about it!Β

True crochet tends to be firmer.
I don't think drawing is easy at all haha
But i try my best to improve ^_^

I should have said, drawing is easy when it comes to the materials...
...and you already improved a great deal, judged by what you posted last.

Thats why I love it!
Yeah - some things take a lot of preparation time and space...
I don't know much things to crochet: covers for coat-hangers, tea- or coffee-mats, scarfs, your book-worms....

Yes, drawing with pencil and paper is definitly "the easiest"...
...coloring comes soon after. Β
I have done some wood-carving and -burning as well as work with clay and polymer clay, a bit jewelry. A bit sewing and leather-working too. I already mentioned crocheting. I feel potography hardly counts... (My dad takes tons of photos - most of them bad or unfavorable...)
And trying something new is always fun! Β
Sadly all the little hobby-stores have died out - so no rumaging around any more - you can just order over the internet in most cases...Β

Yes I tried a lot of things. I had one or two hobby books full of good ideas for DIY - projects...
...and I tried most of it!
Panduro actually sounds a bit like Panda...
And buying more things in one go makes sense too. Β
Can't wait to see your next projects! Β

Yes - I have to look where they are, though. I think my mother - who used to be a teacher - borrowed them for inspiration! Β
Nice! Where did the material come from? The internet?!
Pandora's box /chest was the one that contained a lot of bad things, if I remember my Greek mythology right!
Shopping - lists are fun! Β

Hmmm - I think I can still do it, too. But I was never super fast... Β
That's a pitty! Finding stuff online is good - but not the same as sharing an idea with friends. Β
Doesn't the hobby-shop offer ideas, what to do with the stuff you buy? Β

Panartias In reply to Meiheals [2017-05-16 15:59:50 +0000 UTC]
Thats something at least. Or you could lurk the hobby-store to make some crafter-friends and get ideas btw. Β

Thanks! Β
When I was younger I used to roleplay - and the stores that offered RPG supplements usually had a gaming corner and a bulletin-board - so you could find groups / friends... Β
Then I don't know if Denmark has something like the "Peoples-high-school" (VHS) here in Germany: They offer courses / lessons in almost everything - and crafting courses are (together with language-lessons) among the most popular! Β

Panartias In reply to Meiheals [2017-05-16 19:52:06 +0000 UTC]
That sounds diffrent than in Germany. The VHS = Volkshochschule which I roguely translated as "Peoples-high-school" is not part of the official educational system. It is a lose organisation all over Germany that offers a wide range of courses / classes. You choose what you want. It is fairly priced and usually a lot of fun.
And it is not like a private art- or craft- accademy, where you have to be accepted. You just subscribe to the course you want - first come first serf...

Yes, I guess I'm lucky!
I'm sure you'd be aware off it, if you had something similar. In Germany the VHS are a very well known instituton!
