Can you blame her? I mean, it's not something you see everyday.

She has a strong self-integrity and use it to the best decisions that her inner voice requires, even if it doesn't work every time.

I agree, im not sure they captured her personality in the new movie, they tried to make her physically strong in that one when the point is her intelligence is her weapon while the beast has his brute strength... The prince is somewhere in the middle, that made it so interesting.

But her "intelligence" destroys the fantasy dimension of the story. It's like watching a soap opera, with a bachelorette arguing against a "bearded guy with an education". The original was more close from the "Company of Wolves" than "The Young & the Restless". I miss my shy virgin hairy guy & the motherly Princess with a beast inside.

Belle is intelligent, I'm sure she perfectly understand how works her father inventions, and to use it for common labor, without give a spectacle on the front of the village folks. May I think a full Gadget Hackwrench character-like would have been too much a wink eye to saturday cartoons fans to be honest.
And the end of the new movie, I had a huge feel to see Dangerous Liaisons to express how Emma's Belle will turn with age. You're right about Beast, it's like how Elinor turns into a bear when Merida learns her to act like it, accelerating the animality process.
And when you possess a magic travel book, you don't a have a need to force the audience to think like Joel Haley Osment in the Sixth Sense: "I see dead Disney Parents!!!"... Iguazu falls in 4K HD, or the Royal Botanic Garden of Kew, it's nothing dreamy?

Me too... The only thing i like about the 2017 version is the song evermore while i imagine the prince from the 1991 version singing it, you know while hopelessly looking at his rose wearing his torn shirt and trousers, oh my!

I love this! This one's where the beast squealed like a girl when belle was tending his wounds

Ah! the song if i cant love her! It's beautiful and sad at the same time...they should have used that in the new adaptation, on second thought i am glad they didnt, while evermore is beautiful, it's placement is a bit odd, i mean the roar in the 1991 film captured the beast's sadness better than the song.
I read ABOUT the comics but not the actual comic books.
I thought i was going to like all version of the disney BatB but the 2017 version is very gloomy and i didn't like what they did to belle and beast, they both seems condescending and bland
