WHEW! Been a while since I got anything done, eh??
I saw the remake of Aladdin and I think it's one Disney's best live action redos... mostly because it's not trying to REPLACE the original... it's just... it captured the original's spirit the best while also adding more to it
So... I decided to Disney-fy Naomi Scott's Princess Jasmine.
I didn't wanna just draw the OG Jasmine in the new clothes; the original is the original
Since the original was 15 and this Jasmine is like... 20-ish? lol I more-so referenced Esmeralda in her design
I'm happy with everything in this... except the position of her hair...
I didn't realize till after I was done, "Wait... that don't look right...

I don't know anything to speak of about the new Aladdin, but I like what you did with this character (and the fact that they made Jasmine older). Sounds like you put a lot of thought and work into this... and I can relate to the hair thing. I once did the same thing with a drawing of some dragons. Drew them so one would look nervous and the other would look confident, then realized, "Wait, the tails are all wrong. This one's moving forward and that one's moving back, so this one's tail should be drawn out behind and that one's should be curved around."
For what it's worth, the picture still looks excellent, and very much like the personality of the original Jasmine, reboot or no.

No problem, and gah, tell me about it. I'm close to the end of a Zootopia comic produced by a friend practically as a gift, and now people are getting on my case over on Facebook because the comic has an anthropomorphic bird in it - on the LAST PAGE the bird's gonna even be in. lol
Back on topic, sounds like the new Jasmine might be a pretty good character. Maybe I'll watch the live-action version after all.

This turned out wonderfully Meg and I agree with you on Aladdin's remake actually being good. It gave me a bit of hope for the other remakes... then I saw The Lion King and my faith immediately hit the floor from before Aladdin and proceeded to keep going for at least another 5 feet underground.
