Description Happy Halloween, everyone! I have a, well, a more tragic than scary, Welsh story for you all this year.

One in the Llyn Peninsula, in northwest Wales, a young couple were about to get married. In those days in Wales it was traditional for the bride and groom to partake in the Wedding Quest right before their wedding. This was when the bride, dressed in her wedding dress, veil etc, would find somewhere to hide and her husband-to-be would have to find her before the wedding. On this particular day, however, the young bride ran towards the hills. The groom and his friends searched and searched but were unable to find her.

Months later, a young man who lived in the area (in some versions the groom himself, in others a complete stranger) was hurrying to get home in a storm when a bolt of lightning struck the tree beside him, narrowly missing him. Out fell the skeleton of the bride, still in her wedding attire. The groom collapsed in grief and died when he realised what had happened.

(You might notice the similarities between this and a similar story of a bride who hid in a trunk in her own home after her wedding, during a game of hide-and-seek, and became trapped in the trunk, also starving to death and dying when she couldn't make anyone hear her. I'm not sure which story is the original; I'm leaning towards the Welsh story, though.)

I used Emily for the corpse of the bride for obvious reasons and since I decided to stick with the version of the person who finds her being a total strange, Miguel was perfect.
