Description
Today I came across a very interesting rove beetle, Megarthrus denticollis. It does bear resemblance to this Omalium rivulare I posted earlier and also one other species, which I believe is Micropeplus marietti (by the way it's not directly related to either, but let's not go down the taxonomy rabbit hole any further), that I got a really lousy picture of, which is why I didn't post it. Which is sad, because that species is really quite pretty. I might post it as an example of how things can go wrong, but I'm not decided quite yet.
This year is following the same trend as last year, which is rove beetles tend to be the most resilient and are out in the open even in November. Not just crawling, but actively flying around, which is quite remarkable to me.
