Amazing commission, no question. Despite that, I'm sitting here laughing, though not for malicious reasons. This is SO my Boss's wife the day I first met her, almost to the letter, minus the earings. Its the kind of thing you think never happens to you, or only happens in films, but, my first Company Christmas party was at my Boss's place which was, at the time, this huge penthouse kind of joint.
Anyway, I'm the youngest guy there, so I'm feeling awkward enough, pretty much standing off in the corner like I'm back in High School listening to conversations that I just can't jump into. Suddenly, from like behind me, I hear, "Are you hiding?" I turn around, and nearly drop the Jack&Coke I'm nursing. Gorgeous, gorgeous women, just a few years my senior (was 22 at the time) is standing infront of me and looking, Scout's Honor, "exactly" like the woman in the commission above.
And, of course, words fail me, I'm stammering and I'm beet red. And, of course, she's just looking at me like, "Oh, how sweet. Another one struck dumb. How Cute." I'm sure my recounting this tale seems pointless, but there's reasoning to my madness. What I've always Loved about Meago's Art Pieces, both independant and commissions, is that they always invoke some kind of dream girl or insight some random memory. More often then not I just look at Art and admire, no more, no less. With Meago, it's always an experience, and a joyous one at that.
