A logo for a Hypothetical "Marxist-Leninist Party of Great Britain". Although there are at least 10 Communist Parties in the UK, with at least 2 of them using "Marxist-Leninist" in the name, I decided to make this anyway. The reasoning is this: We have a public perception problem. People hear "Communist" and instantly, they don't care what you have to say. They could agree with everything you say, but if Communist is used to describe your views before your point is made, everything is rendered invalid. If you've ever tried to talk about something political, as a Communist to a non-Communist (unless they are pretty open), you will know what I mean. As I see it it's one of the problems with Communism: The name. Hence, rename the Party to something not involving "Communist" and then you start to get better results. This results in "Marxist Leninist Party of Great Britain". I based the logo on that of the MLPD (Marxistisch-Leninistischen Partei Deutschlands): simple acronym in red, with the full name underneath. No emblem (read: Hammer and Sickle) is included due to the aforementioned public perception problem. This shade of red was specifically chosen, as it is lifted straight from the British Flag, and it is a "friendlier" looking colour than the more traditional shades of red. The font is "Drescher Grotesk", in Bold and Small Sizes variants.They can tell my I didn't pass GCSE Graphics as much as they want, I still think that this is a pretty decent logo.

Indeed. However, I can see why many of the Communist parties here are separate: most do have quite different lines. For example the CPB-ML and the CPGB-ML Stance on immigration: The CPB-ML is to end immigration to "protect British Workers". The CPGB-ML's line is to end immigration controls, as they are pointless. The CPB (as opposed to CPB-ML) supports the Labour Party most of the time, where as the CPGB-ML near flat out despises them. It's obvious enough why there are these different parties, but it's still a shame.

its funny how canadas communist party was based in the city i live in huh? anyways this is pretty cool
EDIT: ok so i meant to say socialist party...i think it was called the USDPC and it went defunct in 1918/1920 from what i can find.

my towns was the ukrainian social democratic party of canada...it was very short lived
