The very first anime I ever watched was Dragon Ball Curse of the Blood Rubies. I remember thinking this was the best cartoon ever (I didn't know what anime was at the time). Later on I remember waking up early one Saturday morning. I couldn't sleep so I tuned on the TV. The first thing that popped up was the intro to Dragon Ball Z by Linkin Park. I quickly recognized the style. Once I saw Goku I realized it was a grown up version of the little kid from the movie I watched when I was young. Akira Toriyama's work was my introduction to anime and manga. His style and influence can be seen in a lot of manga and anime today. I can honestly say without exaggeration that if it wasn't for him, anime and manga wouldn't be as popular as it is now. Thank You for sharing your amazing style, your imaginative stories and your great characters. RIP sir.
