I made a wallpaper of my character Sol. Woohoo.DAZ Studio 4.5 Render with Photoshop painting and postwork. Lots of that actually.

No no, I donΒ΄t mind! I did them on the maps and even made a displacement map for them so they are a tiny little bit raised... because the idea was that they have been bleached into his skin.

To be honest - it looks a lot more complicated than it is. Tribals can stop at a seam and then you continue on the other texture just at the seam again... I mean... uh oh english.... you donΒ΄t have to make a pattern go across the seam, just let it end and start a new swirl on the next texture, if that makes sense.

It does. That's how I did the tattoos for my own simple character sets back when.
