Why don't you just find other peoples vectors, ask the authors permission, and then use them in your scenes? It's not illegal if you ask permission.

As long as you ask permission from the original authors and include a link in your description, you shouldn't have any problem including other peoples vectors in your backgrounds. Simply post a comment on there page, ask permission, and if they say yes, download the vector you want to use into the document, and edit accordingly. It's not illegal. Also, it frees up time for you to concentrate solely on making excellent backgrounds.

You wouldn't have to factor extra time in to make the pictures of ponies to fit in your backgrounds. Its quite simple.
