I don't think I'm qualified to crit, but it looks pretty cool to me... I like the hazy silhouette of the castle, and you can almost feel the dankness of the mist enshrouding the rugged landscape. The mist lends a great sense of mystery to the whole scene. The birds are a nice touch.
I suppose putting in a person or creature or something would give this more of a focal point, and maybe showing parts of the castle looming out of the mist nearer the viewer and other parts fading away into the hazy background would be cool, but I'm not really experienced with composition etc.. ^^ The thing with this painting is that it seems a bit empty, without much to hold the viewers attention and guide their eye in the foreground. You could try hinting at a larger story by putting a character in the foreground... like showing a scantily clad renegade princess gazing at the mysterious castle with a griffin or something standing by her, all scuffed up like they've been on the run, and have her gaze guide the viewer to the castle and then have something about the castle suggest what might happen if she goes toward it. Bobby Chiu talked about telling little stories like that through your paintings to hold your viewer's interest.
Check out this video, it is pretty cool-> www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BDLd-…

The sharp edge of the hill to the left with the slightly highlighted fog is just calling for a silhouette of something. Put something like a person or some other creature there and you'll have a much better focal point! You could also add more stuff to the foreground, they'd contrast so nicely with the smooth foggy background. I also think the castle could be placed lower, I just feel like it would be more comfortable to look at it there. And it would be cool if you had some structures continue from the castle all the way behind the cliff to the left finally disappearing to the fog at that point, it would also strengthen the focal point you already have there. And overall the piece is just kind of empty, add some more stuff and give it some storytelling and you got it!
