This is a painting of the Skyship One from the 1968 fetaure film 'Thunderbird 6;.The film was made by Gerry & Sylvia Anderosn and their team at Century 21 studios who made the classic series 2 yaers before. In the film the 'Skyship One', rekindles the romance of the 1930s airships, but as this is set in the 21st Century, and the ship was annonymously designed by International Rescue's very own resident genius - Brains - the ship is kept aloft by an anrti-gravity force field.Most of the film features a rather casual trip around the world aboard the ship, and this calm sunset scene captures the mood perfectly.
Skyship One was designed by the movie by Special Effects Director Derek Meddings.
