The North Yorkshire Moors Railways was my first real encounter with heritage railways. There is however one problem with it: so many people that the trains drown in them. That is the quality of this picture, it is about the steam engine! Nicely done in a bright and sunny English landscape.

the composition is very intresting for the eye, luckily the conductor was looking out which gives an even more personal touch

I like how I can see farther down the line past the end of the train. Gives one a good sense of... the lay of the line, perhaps? Anyways, great composition.

I agree with the timeless comment, and must also comment that that's a proper train, not like the pathetic four carriage services behind an 8P on a certain local line that we all know and love...

Another timeless photo, Could so easily have been taken when we lived life at a more leisurely pace.
