Dispute Elliot's decision to have a child being impulsive they were a bit overwhelmed when the child learned how to walk- then run. Causing Elvis to grow up more uncontrolled and unmanageable.
Thomas having well thought out having a child (even without his wife) caused the child to grow up well-behaved.
