Beauty is, as always, on her shoulder. If you look closely you can see that her eye is whirling red! ^_^Briala, Pona, Amania, and Audiva are on the side. Audiva is the only one not enjoying Menolly's total discomfort.

The Harper Hall books are really some of my faves to this day , quite underrrated as is Ms. McCaffrey's work overall , in my opinion. Your Menolly stands out , as most artists can't resist making her a flouncy - sleeved pretty princess type. She really looks like an outsider here , & you've caught something important about the character. Ha! You can't tell from my gallery , but I'm itching to get back into some Pern art myself...

Awesome job with the character design for the cottage girls. I have only one minor critique with one of the girls,Pona is supposed to be fat. It's been a long time since I've read Dragonsinger,but I think that's how Anne described her.

It's my favorite trilogy of the pern books as well. Actually just finished rereading those three and going back through the whole series from the beginning now. Love the way you draw the characters and the dragons. It's amazing! <3

I love Menolly! I liked how she wanted to wear pants instead of skirts. I laughed so hard when the Firelizards came swooping in and scaring all the girls.

I just finished reading Dragonsong/Singer again last week. This is a bloody fantastic rendition of that scene. Exquisite expressions, perfect for each character. I love Menolly's boyish clothes!
