Christmas ContestI was told in order to get more participation I should start my contests early so This contest will be over December 26th and I will have it judged by January 1st
There are three different category's for this contest! You may enter every category with however many pieces you want. However to be fair if one of your pieces wins that's the only place you can place for. Each category will have three winners. The theme for all three categories is Christmas/Winter.
Okay here are the categories,
1st category: Design. For this category I am NOT judging it based on how well you draw. I am basing it on the creativity of the design. You can design an outfit for an already existing category (Your own or from something.) Or you can design a whole new character and they don't even have to be human! The medium doesn't matter you can do digital, traditional, and you can even make sprites.
2nd Category: This category is for just an artwork itself. This can be anything ranging from just a drawing, paint
Christmas Contest 2016 Rules AND PRIZE UPDATEHere is the last contest for this year the Christmas Contest. I hope more people will enter than we had in the last contest. Either way the rules are below.

Christmas Contest Rules:
1. Only one Submission per Person. If you submit more than one, I will take it upon myself to choose which one will be entered into the contest, and the other art piece shall be moved to the appropriate folder.
2. You must submit the art into the correct contest folder, Christmas Contest 2016, or it will not be including in the contest. (If there is any issues with the folder or submitting please note me)
3. I will not accept any form of fan fiction or story.
4. The art must be Christmas and Holiday Related, it can be anything from a Tree, too Santa, to the Krampus for all I care. Have fun with it. The art can also be anything from a photograph to painting so have fun with it. If the art does not fit these rules it will not be accepted into the co

This piece of art truly inspires me. All of the shadings of the cat is amazing and on how the reflections are on the fur. The think that really caught my attention was the reflection of the eyes. One of the main things about this that I would just have a little annoyance about would be that the cat kind of looks like it doesn't have a body unless you look a little closer. Mainly, I thought this was literally a photo and when I looked closer, I found to my surprise that is was actually a drawing! This is a well executed piece and I love it so much!

I got many comments, but every time the more comprehensive comments make me feel more supported and appreciated. And you show so much love to my art that I can't just go walk by neutrally. <333

Though I take art seriously, I'm going to deviate just a bit and do a critique of your art.
For vision: 4.5 Yes in deed, I can see the kitty inside the tree, playing around. You captured the essence of your vision in this picture.
For originality: 4. I give you a great mark of 4, I have seen other pictures like these on Christmas cards and such. However, the blur is just a little bit off.
Technique: 5. I wish I could create this kind of art, but I can't. The eyes and markings on the tabby are extremely clear and focused, even down to the hair and whiskers. I'd give you a 10 if I could for that.
Impact: 5. That pretty baby is the very thing I looked at first. It is what made me critique this. Again, you have the ability of drawing in people with the impact of your vision. I love it, and you should continue to only get better. I'd have it on my wall to stare at.

This is truly an amazing piece. Now, I'm not going to pretend to be a 'professional critique', but I will give you my thoughts. For 'vision', I'd give this five stars because of the way everything but the cat is blurred, so you would naturally focus on the cat first. 'Originality', I'd give at least 4 stars. This is nothing against your art, but I know this can be a very popular thing to draw. For 'technique', I'd give this a 5-star rating as well, because whatever brushes you use blend everything very well, so the realism is achieved perfectly. 'Impact'. Well, if this category means the impact it has on me, or other viewers, it definitely deserves five stars here too.

This is a very nice piece of art. The colors really make it better and the cat is just the star of the show. Though, one thing that I will point out is that the blur is a little too heavy and could've been brung down a notch. Also, the cat looks a little...off. But this is a really great picture. Though, I will have to deduct a star on originality, it's not the most original thing (obviously). I've seen many pictures like this one. But I will say, I haven't seen one with this level of effects. It definitely is a fine piece of work you've made.

Just a brush! For this one this brush settings:
For more soft ones I just change the blending, dilution and persistence to lower amounts ^^
Experiment! It's the best way you can find out what works best for you <3
