Description Here's my drawing journey from the year 2008 when I was 13-14. I've been drawing my whole life starting out with copying my mother's drawings and cartoons (CN, Nickelodeon and Disney), followed up by anatomic studies from somewhere around 2008-2009 (it's when I purchased my first "How to draw") and then ending up drawing anime. For some reason I was never content with drawing anime style so I consciously started avoiding it, after which I developed my own style that has remained quite the same until this day.

There have been a lot of different periods in my journey and I will post one of my earliest comics one day as well to show you where I started from (however cringy it might be)- also yes, I started drawing full A4 size comics somewhere around age 8-9. I was more dedicated back then than I am now... which is a little embarrasing, but ok.

Nowadays I'm still focused on anatomic drawing but even more so on illustrations. My goal in 2017 is to work as hard as I can and never forget that I'm my biggest rival. I think it's an open discussion wether drawing/painting requires talent or not. I don't know about talent, but I can tell you about work and it requires tons of it. From age 8-14 I drew almost every day all day. It was my priority before anything, but never because I had to, but because it was the only thing I ever wanted to do (especially when I had a maths test coming up). Today I draw less in quantity, but I'm more focused on quality. I've grown enough mentally to draw more with thought rather than with emotion because often the latter ends up as unfinished work due to inadequate planning, but that's a very personal goal for me since I've been such a scatterbrain.

I encourage you to take a look back on your own progress and see how far you've come no matter what you do (art, sports, business, teaching etc). It's important to keep looking ahead, but sometimes it can be encouraging to take a glance back and see how far you've come in order to go even further.

Be the best you can be in 2017!
