The Batarang severed Roger's spinal cord. Nothing fatal for him-but being unable to move, there is nothing to be done to stop the damn Bat-even talking is hard.Better that way-at least for now. Anything to keep that asshole from going after his teammates or going after Asuka-because he *might* go after her (hell, Roger's willing to bet anything it's more of a 'will'
.He can also feel a pair of eyes on him-eyes open enough to see Rally in the distance, concerned as all hell. If she's around, there's a high chance he will be interned in Arkham-and she will sign him in.
Washu will help that other Asuka-that is a bet. The Bat will not be able to get to them both in the Stingray compound-another bet. Rally's gonna be beating herself up over this-that's yet another bet.
At the moment, unable to move, Roger Hackett couldn't do more than hope for a winning streak.
