So I'm a fan of your style, but one thing I've noticed with most of your black and white is that you'll focus on one part then the background gets less attention. In this piece, I'm referring to the clouds and horizon. Now in focused pieces with a character like your: In the Woods Somewhere and Nazira; the background is more of a compliment to the character. However, in a landscape piece, it comes across as though the background is just a flat piece you overlayed the foreground on. Or another way to look at it, your piece Show Me What I'm Looking For you add depth and slight complexity using trees and branches while not removing from the foreground.
Granted I understand you're trying to convey a bleakness, and you did a good job. Honestly, I love the piece. Just in grayscale, it's easy to let it almost fall flat. All in all, great piece.

Pretty good, the technique is there, and I think the colour pallet (or lack thereof) could be reflection of the artists current feelings- possibly a throw back to some of van goughs work (he had a black and white period) as well as the twisted yet maimed wood could be a reflection of such as well.
My biggest complaint is (currently) there's a maturity filter on it, take my work for it people, you are not going to get in trouble at work for looking.... I think this was either done by accident of in order to hide a bit.
On that note.... sometimes we all feel like we aren't good enough- we have melt downs and flip out and wonder if we'll ever be as good as the person we want to be in our heads (this literally happened to myself yesterday) I don't know what I can say to change a person's mind, I'm not even sure there are words that can be said for such things..... but, I do know, these feelings eventually pass and we reflect and regroup- but, staying in that area is hell.
