Description

Genevieve, or Hikari, is one of my first "furry" characters since I knew about the fandom. In my attempts to change up her design around 2016, I tried to have a balance between Western martial arts and her OG design as a kitsune. Thus munitions plate (or "half-plate", as it's known in D&D), combined with a kreigsmesser (utilitarian German longsword, meaning "war knife"), instead of tosei-do (later samurai armor) and a katana.

Genny originally had a dress, which I kept under her armor here. She also had pince-nez spectacles and a red neckscarf, inspired by Inari shrine foxes (Fox McCloud is another such fox with said scarf). Perhaps one of these days I'll draw her in a "casual" outfit that harkens back to her dress. Or, maybe I'll give her a dress and leggings for her samurai armor. Time will tell.
